About eight months ago I had some grand scheme milling about in my brain. I would go on many adventures, get photos, make YouTube videos, and somehow monetize all of those to make a decent living. So far I've gone an some [great] adventures, got some photos, made like six [terrible] videos, and have made no money. What an interesting situation to be in. Now eight months later my bank account shows an... interesting financial state.

I'm currently working on what should have been done months ago - starting with my website - and start moving towards making my photography an actual business. For months others have been asking about what I would do since being unemployed. I never gave a straight answer; I just didn't have enough confidence to say that I wanted to pursue the arts via photography. Today, or more like last week, I decided to start diving in deep into making money off of photography.

The avenue that I would make money: art fairs. Yes, I'm aiming to pitch a 10ft x 10ft tent at an arts fair, and selling my artwork. It's a scary proposition for me. My work will really be judged by the mighty dollar. Just getting likes on Instagram won't mean much anymore. I won't get into the nitty gritty details of moving towards being at an art fair, but just know that I have gotten the ball rolling. Backing out now would mean a lot of wasted dollars.

I am rebuilding my website, and some changes can already be observed. I do need to redo some of the pictures I am featuring though. I don't know what I was thinking back then but, I literally made some of the images like less than 1.5 megapixels... I still have the RAWs but I have lost the catalog so I need to reprocess things. As for making YouTube videos, it would be foolish for me to completely stop. Though my video making skills may not be top notch, participating in multiple creative outlets can only benefit me.
